Due to mass tourism, many destinations and local communities have been excluded from participation, leading to social marginalization and cultural homogenization. At the same time, there is growing interest among visitors in hidden natural and cultural gems off the beaten path, but information for planning visits is often lacking. MARE SUPERUM connects local public authorities, support organizations, development agencies, and research institutes, enabling effective exchange of knowledge, resources, and best practices, while strengthening cross-border cooperation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Project objectives<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop a cross-border tourism offer that includes lesser-visited destinations.<\/li>\n<li>Promote low-carbon and ethical holidays and prevent social exclusion.<\/li>\n<li>Increase destination visibility and accessibility of maritime heritage, and support local stakeholders with new capacities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Planned results<\/strong><br \/>\nThe project will develop a transnational strategy and three action plans, establish an environmental monitoring system, create mapping of sites, restore selected maritime artifacts, and prepare an online maritime heritage catalog as part of the cross-border tourism offer.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Project partners:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Confesercenti Metropolitana Venezia-Rovigo \u2013 Lead Partner<\/li>\n<li>Regional Development Centre Koper<\/li>\n<li>Maritime Museum \u2013 Museo del Mare &#8220;Sergej Ma\u0161era&#8221; Piran-Pirano<\/li>\n<li>Associazione Artigiani Venezia Confartigianato<\/li>\n<li>Comune di Monfalcone<\/li>\n<li>University of Ljubljana \u2013 Faculty of Maritime Studies and Transport<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Project start: 1st July 2025<br \/>\nProject duration: 30 months<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Total project value: \u20ac1,100,651.88<br \/>\nERDF contribution: \u20ac408,295.20<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Project manager: mag.
