The Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs (EYE) programme has reached a significant milestone – more than 15,000 business exchanges between new and experienced entrepreneurs across Europe and beyond. The programme, which promotes international cooperation, knowledge transfer and the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises, is making a significant contribution to the development of the European entrepreneurial ecosystem.
In Slovenia, the programme is supported by, among others, the Regional Development Centre Koper, which has so far helped more than 200 entrepreneurs to engage in peer exchanges. Programme participants gain new knowledge, business contacts and access to foreign traders, with most reporting concrete business applications and improvements.
Since 2009, the EYE programme has been connecting entrepreneurs in 43 countries and the innovation, internationalisation and competitiveness of SMEs, which represent 99% of all enterprises in the EU.
