The Regional Development Centre Koper (RDC Koper) acts as an institution on regional level with the aim of promoting business and economy development in our region. It performs the role of regional co-ordinator of interests on local as well as national level in the fields of regional development, economy, human resources and environmnent protection.
In 2001 RDC Koper gained the status of leading organization of the Regional Development Agency South Primorska for the municipalities of Ankaran, Divača, Hrpelje-Kozina, Izola, Komen, Koper, Piran and Sežana. In this role RDC Koper became a permanent representative of ministries, governmental organizations, chambers of commerce and craft, companies and other institutions.
RDC Koper promotes and implements projects of cross-border partnerships with EU and other justified countries.
Founders
The Regional Development Center Koper was established in 1994 as a local center for promoting small businesses and crafts. The center’s legal-organizational form is a public institution. The founders include the Municipality of Koper, the Employment Service of Slovenia – Regional Office Koper, and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia. In 2016, the Municipality of Hrpelje-Kozina also joined as a founder.
