LAG Istra (Local action group for the areas of Koper, Izola and Piran municipalities) is a public-private partnership established with the aim of joint participation at the realization of the Local developement strategy of the areas of Koper, Izola and Piran municipalities, which are eligible to draw on the funds of the Programme LEADER – Axis 4 of The Rural Development Programme RS 2007-2013, managed by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Food.
LAG pursues its objectives through the implementation of the Local Developement Programme of the municipalities of Koper, Izola and Piran or through projects based on developement potentials of a given area, which reflect the needs of local people and contribute to improve the quality of life and creation of new employment possibilities in rural areas.
