Enterprisingly into the business world
The operation Enterprisingly into the business world is aimed at promoting entrepreneurship among young unemployed people with higher education levels and at promoting job creation. The basic idea of the operation is to provide to participants, selected through a public call, all the professional assistance and training they need to develop their business idea into a working business.
The target group are people who have a higher vocational or university degree, a master’s or a doctoral degree, are less than 35 years old and have been entered in the register of unemployed persons at the Employment Service of Slovenia or other persons in accordance with the provisions of the public call.
The project is implemented in groups of ten participants and lasts four months, during which the participants are employed in one of the participating regional development agencies, mentors help them develop their business idea, they write a business plan and are trained to undertake an entrepreneurial career or to enhance their employability. The objective of each participant is to set up a company, become self-employed or employed by another employer within one year after the completion of the training.
The project falls within the Operational Programme for Human Resources Development for the period 2007-2013, the development priority Promoting entrepreneurship and adaptability and the development priority Education and training for competitiveness and employability. The project is implemented on the territory of Slovenia and is financed by the European Social Fund (85%) and the Ministry of Labour, Family, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities of the Republic of Slovenia (15%). The lead partner of the project is the Regional Development Centre Zagorje, project partners are 11 regional development agencies from all over Slovenia, including the Regional Development Centre Koper.
