On May 24th 2024, the Managing Authority of the Interreg VI-A Italia-Slovenija Programme has signed the financing contract of the standard project TORRENT.
Project TORRENT aims at establishing shared and transnational guidelines to monitor the status and functionality of torrent control works and evaluate the long-term effectiveness of structures, prioritizing the maintenance intervention and improving the watershed management strategies.The innovative aspects of this project consist precisely in the effort to coordinate Italian and Slovenian authorities and entities in drawing operational protocols to effectively map and monitor the torrent control works.
